Nolan Drax - Momentary Comfort

Original Character - King Nolan Drax

Part of my Momentary Comfort series from my book "The Box: The Journey Home".

Not all things that can comfort us are healthy. Three years ago, King Nolan Drax forced to watch a madman slaughter his wife and son. While he was able to save his daughter that terrible day replays constantly in his mind. The drinking brings temporary comfort and an escape from a world seemingly crashing down around him. The Senate that supported him when he overthrew his father and took control of the Kingdom of Nordsland, have recently passed laws nullifying his power. The War Council, created to advice the King of potential threats and which actions to take, have been given sole control of the Nordlsandic army. Things appear to be at their worst, but appearances can be deceiving, and the worst may be yet to come.
