Full Background. Really pleased with the background for this piece as I had to work in perspective and try to make it so that the background didn't take anything away from Superman.
This is the 2nd part of the trilogy triptych that I'm currently working on. This piece had significant changes from sketch to finished version as Superman works better in the final piece if he's flying. I went with a variation of his "Rebirth" suit (hence the darker blue). I may go back and do a few variations as I'm partial to his classic look.
